Advice
Date.com provide a wealth of free dating advice and articles on http://info.date.com. The section is managed by Brenda Ross, of About.com Dating fame. There are some interesting dating polls you can participate in, or you can read about dates from hell or success stories of couples who met using the Date.com service. Of all the dating sites, Date.com appears to have one of the best general dating and advice services. The advice section is updated weekly and updates coincide with Date.com’s weekly email newsletter.

Chat Room
The chat room is filled with regulars so newcomers may be a bit intimidated to get involved. However, if you become a regular in the chat room, you will establish a new group of friends and many relationships have developed in the Date.com chat room. Also, many of the chat room regulars throw parties where they all take their online personas and meet offline!

Matchmaking Services
Date.com provides a sort of cupid service where they send members an email each week with potential matches using their matching “secret algorithm.” I’m not sure how it works but like some of the other dating services, the email contains mini-profiles including photos of potential matches.

Notes:

They provide a basic profile, not as extensive as other services. The have no instant messenger, video profiles, video chat or forums. Also, although there is a keyword search, the search only allows a single word search, not multiple words. Lastly, the site appeared a bit too slow.
